I’ve been helping people manage their money for my entire career, first as a commercial banker for 13 years and then as a CFP® professional for the past 21 years. I spend a lot of time traveling with my wife Julie to far-off lands and am always learning new ways to be an average golfer. I am a voracious reader, love to talk politics, and try to do crossword puzzles. I have two grown kids who have married well. I am a huge Liverpool FC supporter.

Adam Kilker
I have been part of Premier Financial Partners since 2005. I enjoy working with clients and their families with regards to all things
financial. Every client has a different financial puzzle and I enjoy putting the puzzle together.
I have been married to Katie since 2003. We have 2 boys: Brady, a freshman, and Ethan, in 7th grade. The Kilker family loves sports and is
usually found at a basketball court or baseball field. I have coached, and continue to coach, numerous baseball and basketball teams for my boys. Currently, my main responsibility is to drive Brady and Ethan to their various events so they can live "their best life."
Kara Brockmeier, CFP®
After spending almost 10 years helping top advisors actively grow their businesses while becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I finally decided to use my experience and talents to plan with clients and haven’t looked back.
I spend a lot of time park-hopping around Chesterfield with some of my favorite people, my husband Greg and our two kids, Peter and Caroline. I am a planner at heart and am always scheduling that next vacation (ideas, anyone?). I also love celebrity gossip and am always down for a new workout class or a glass of wine (make it red, please).
I strive to make money less intimidating, uncomplicated, and fun to discuss!

Kara Adrian
I joined Premier Financial Partners in 2021 and experienced the joy of onboarding as our Director of Operations in the midst of a COVID-induced remote working environment. Having successfully integrated back into the office, I now am responsible for the overall management of the Jim Wood team.
I have a Finance degree from Marquette University, and, having followed Dwyane Wade to the Final Four, still pick the Golden Eagles to win my bracket every year. Away from the office, my husband and I enjoy watching our kids compete in the pool and on the volleyball court, warm days and cold champagne.
Cherial Rekart
Cherial has been an Administrative Assistant with Premier Financial Partners
for 32 Years. She is as hard working as she is a joy to be around! Cherial
has a daughter Sarah, and two dogs Chica and Prince Handsome. Cherial enjoys
snuggling up with a good book and her puppies. Prince Handsome loves Premier
Financial Partners and often joins us for our weekly meetings via Zoom!
Kathy Welch
I have been with Premier Financial Partners since 2004, first working with my sister, Sandra Buschmann and then joining Jim Wood’s team. I am responsible for processing all of the new business and ensuring that the results of the client reviews are implemented. I thoroughly enjoy my interaction with the clients.
On a personal note, I enjoy laughing at my husband’s jokes (but not as much as he does), sitting around the pool on a sunny day with my family, watching the Cardinals and snuggling with my 4 legged daughter Maggie.
Marissa Meier
I have been serving clients in the financial industry for 7 years and really
love getting to chat with people as they come in and visit with us! I
joined the Jim Wood team to work in client services and marketing. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Don, son, Rory, two dogs, Astana and Darby, and
Chameleon Izuku. We also love spending time with the wildlife in our
neighborhood, playing golf, cooking, and watching football! I look forward
to meeting all of you!
Susie Powers
I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa the youngest of 5 children. After graduating from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa with a degree in Corporate Communications I began my career in the financial industry. I moved to St. Louis in 2002 where I have continued my almost 25 years in the industry. My husband Dennis and I have been married since 2003 and enjoy spending time with our families and taking our chihuahua for walks. Growing up in Iowa I also became a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs. I joined Jim Wood's team in November of 2022 and look forward to supporting our clients in achieving their financial goals.
